About Monica

For over twenty years, I’ve worked behind the scenes of high-level events across Italy — guiding international clients with discretion, precision, and a quietly rigorous attention to detail.

Origin Of Italy executive retreats

Italy Executive Retreats emerged naturally from the evolution of my work. After more than two decades collaborating with international clients and global organizers, I began to see a growing need for experiences that were more strategic, confidential, and intentionally designed — moments where leadership, reflection, and Italian culture could intersect in a meaningful way.

This project is dedicated to those who seek more than extraordinary locations: it is for decision makers who value context, cultural insight, and thoughtful curation. Italy Executive Retreats brings together deep local knowledge with a senior, discreet approach to create experiences that feel both purposeful and profoundly Italian.

A career rooted in place

I have spent my career moving across Italy — from the Dolomites to Lake Como, through Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast, down to Puglia and Sicily. This knowledge is not theoretical: I know the places personally, I understand how they work, and I have built long-standing relationships with exceptional venues and trusted partners.

Whether the brief calls for an intimate leadership retreat or a more structured executive gathering, I have coordinated projects in some of Italy’s most prestigious settings. My role has always been the same: to translate complexity into clarity, and to make ambitious ideas feel effortless on the ground.
I founded Leo Eventi with a clear focus on international clients choosing Italy for their most meaningful moments. From the beginning, cross-cultural communication, precision, and high standards shaped my way of working.
Over time, my work expanded beyond event coordination. I have collaborated with luxury venues entering the events market and advised leading catering companies on positioning and experience design. Seeing the industry from multiple angles — planner, venue partner, and consultant — has given me a rare understanding of what truly makes an experience succeed behind the scenes.
In parallel with my professional practice, I also teach as a Lecturer in Event Management and Experiential Tourism at IATH (International Academy of Tourism and Hospitality). This role keeps me closely connected to emerging trends, evolving client expectations, and the academic frameworks that shape contemporary experiential design, reinforcing my belief that exceptional experiences are always the result of both creativity and rigorous planning.

How I work

Food and wine are never secondary in my work — they are central to the experience of Italy.
My years consulting for top catering companies, combined with a deep personal passion for Italian gastronomy, allow me to curate dining moments that feel thoughtful rather than theatrical. I cook, I taste, I travel, and I listen to each region’s character.
From a refined wine dinner in Piedmont to a seafood feast on the Amalfi Coast, I design menus that speak to place, season, and intention — so that every meal becomes part of the story rather than a simple service.
I am constantly exploring — not only iconic destinations, but also lesser-known regions that offer extraordinary settings and possibilities. What works on Lake Como does not work in Puglia, and two decades of experience have taught me exactly why.
My approach is simple in principle, meticulous in practice: seamless execution, invisible logistics, and anticipatory detail. I believe that true luxury is felt rather than seen — in the transition that flows naturally, the timing that feels intuitive, and the contingency plan that never has to be used.

Outside of my work, I am deeply shaped by the places I move through and the landscapes I love — from the calm of the lakes to the rugged beauty of the mountains and the warmth of the Mediterranean.

I am passionate about sport and being in nature: skiing in winter, hiking in the mountains, and exploring Italy’s diverse terrains at my own pace. I am equally curious about discovering new restaurants, regional traditions, and the stories behind them.

This active way of experiencing Italy, combined with my ongoing curiosity for its culture, continues to inspire how I think about hospitality, connection, and meaningful experience.

I work primarily as a white-label partner for international organizers who need deep Italian expertise and absolute discretion. You remain the face of the project; I ensure everything functions flawlessly on the ground.

You work directly with me — not a large team, not layers of coordination. When you need someone who knows Italy intimately, who can navigate complexity with calm, and who operates quietly behind the scenes, that is where I add the most value.
